Itami Museum of Arts & Crafts
This museum is a public facility dedicated to the promotion of crafts, one of the few of its kind in Japan. Starting with the Itami International Craft Exhibit, visitors will find exhibits showcasing amazing crafts and artwork from Japan and abroad, as well as various craft lessons on engraving, weaving, and more. The museum held a special re-opening in July of 2001 as part of the Miyanomae Culture Town, which also includes Kakimura Bunko, the Itami City Art Museum, the Important Cultural Property of the former Okada Residence and Sake Cellar, the Designated Prefectural Cultural Property of the former Ishibashi Residence, and others. The center is located underneath Shinmachi-ya, which serves as the managing office for the Miyanomae Culture Town. Inside are special exhibits and other beautiful works sure to leave an impression.
